The Xeltis team is paying tribute to Arnaud de Ménibus, a noted entrepreneur and philanthropist in his native France, who recently passed away. De Ménibus played a pivotal role in Xeltis’ history as lead investor in its Series A financing.
“In the summer of 2013, Xeltis comprised ten people and had early, limited animal data on what still looked like sci-fi technology,” recalled CEO Laurent Grandidier. “When Arnaud learned about our mission and technology platform, he enthusiastically took the lead on our Series A financing, which nudged other investors to join in,” stated Xeltis CEO Laurent Grandidier. “A few months later, the first ten patients were treated. The rest is history.”
