David Mester, MBA, joined Xeltis as Vice-President, Business Lead, Valves in December 2021. A medtech business leader with over 30 years of experience in structural heart devices, David dedicated his career to advancing innovative materials and delivery systems for heart valve applications.
Prior to joining Xeltis, David held various senior business and technical leadership positions at W.L. Gore, CarboMedics, and ViVitro Labs. He led the acquisition of new technology, formed a business unit to pursue novel heart valve technology, led First-in-Human and Early Feasibility Studies and numerous regulatory submissions for cardiovascular products.
A long-standing member of the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) ISO 5840 and 5910 working groups, he actively participates in several regulatory sponsored working groups. David studied business and applied science at St. Edwards University and holds an MBA from Louisiana State University Shreveport.
